SentiGaze SDK Trial
VILNIUS, March 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Neurotechnology has developed an eye movement tracking and gaze heat map generation software development kit (SDK) that enables developers to turn any off-the-shelf webcam into a sophisticated gaze tracker. The eye movement tracking can be used for a variety of purposes such as determining how people react to a website or online advertising content, and for usability improvement in computer software applications.
The SDK is available for a free trial. It can be downloaded from the Neurotechnology website and requires a Windows operating system.
Most gaze estimation techniques require a certain amount of calibration prior to a gazing session. The calibration may be needed to determine personal parameters for the user, camera properties or simply to train the gaze mapping component.
A number of open source tools have been created to allow users to perform this type of work on a variety of operating systems. The most prominent tool is the TurkerGaze project [31, 96] which is implemented in JavaScript and calculates both binocular gaze estimates.
Other open source tools such as the Camgaze project [61, 88] and the OpenCV library [91, 93] are available for developing gaze-based applications using the C programming language. These include a library of functions for performing image processing, face recognition and eye tracking with a variety of cameras. A graphical interface is provided to facilitate gaze mapping and analysis. These tools also provide the possibility of integrating multiple gaze detection modules for multi-person experiments.
